Who is Dak Prescott – “Dak Prescott was born in Louisiana”
raised by his parents, Nathaniel and Peggy Prescott. His dad was a highly decorated high school football coach in Louisiana who coached Dak from grades 6-12.
At Haughton High School in Haughton, LA, he led his team to back-to-back state championships then committed to Mississippi State University where he would play for three years. He finished his college career with a 23-20 record, completing 985 of 1,575 passes for 12,292 yards and 90 touchdowns.
He played college football at Mississippi State University
where he was a three-year starter, setting 16 school records and 3 Southeastern Conference records. In 2015, Prescott led the Bulldogs to a 9–7 record, including a berth in the Orange Bowl which Mississippi State lost 49–34 to Louisiana State University.
In 2016, his junior year with MSU Dak again led the team to a 9–4 record, which included wins in the St. Petersburg Bowl against University of Miami (FL) and the Belk Bowl against Wake Forest University.
His first start for the Cowboys came on October 25th, 2016 against the Bears.
Prescott’s first victory came on November 8th 2016 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dak went on to win five games during his rookie year and finished with a 13-3 record, setting an NFL record for most wins by a rookie quarterback.
On May 23rd, 2017, he signed a four-year contract worth $2,851,015 that included a $1,158,894 signing bonus.
Prescott is the only quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 3,500 yards and fewer than 10 interceptions during his first professional season. He’s also the first rookie quarterback to reach 50 career touchdown passes before throwing an interception.
In high school, he won a state championship and had a record of 28-2 as a starter
completing 76.6% of his passes for 76 touchdowns and just six interceptions, and rushing for another 24 scores over three seasons. Prescott threw 43 TD’s and rushed for 33 more as a junior in 2011 to go along with only one interception.
In college Dak led the Bulldogs to a 23-20 record which included 5 bowl appearances and one conference championship.
He is from Texas and went to Haughton High School where his jersey number was 18, which is now retired by the school
He has one brother, Tad Prescott and a sister named Savannah.
His parents Nathaniel & Peggy were divorced when he was 9 years old. He is very close with both of his parents even though they are now married to other people. He considers them both mom and dad.

Dak loves to watch Survivor on TV. He says it’s very interesting mentally and physically challenging to the players and their families.
